The author’s of the stories “Letter To Harriet Tubman”, and “Harriet Tubman Poem”. Both of the stories were related to Harriet Tubman either being made about her or it being towards her. The story “Letter to Harriet Tubman” was written on August Twenty Ninth,1968,written by Frederick Douglass.The other story “Harriet Tubman poem” was written in 1962. Both of the stories are about Harriet Tubman, to honor her and respect her. In my essay, I will be explaining the similarities and differences between the two stories. Another thing i would like to say is the direction of the letter which is informal. It informs us of Harriet Tubman’s Great Achievement to put an end to slavery and her dedication to helping out the slaves. In the next story for the Harriet Tubman poem, I will be addressing the same elements I listed in this paragraph. The Harriet Tubman poem was written by Eliose Greenfield. She wrote the poem to show Harriet Tubman’s dedication to end slavery by saying “Harriet Tubman didn't take no stuff Wasn't scared of nothing neither Didn't come into this world to be no slave And didn't stay one either” This is showing that Harriet was not scared to take risks and stop slavery. The organization of the poem is also emphatic by trying to get to our emotions to show gratitude to Harriet for her determination to end slavery, so this is very emphatic to get to our emotions in this poem. The diction of the poem is poetic. The poem has meaningful words to express the nature of the poem, which is freedom, and determination. The words used in this poem express Harriet Tubman's desire to be free from slavery and be determined to end
