The epic “The Odyssey” by Homer is similar to the film Hercules. In the movie Hercules takes part in a long journey in which he was trying to become a God. Hercules had to face many challenges on his way to trying and becoming a God. The first value I noticed was Hercules put his hand on the Hollywood walk. This shows that it is in America because Hollywood is in America. It also shows that Hercules is famous because only famous people put their hand on the Hollywood walk. The second value I noticed was a kid wearing air herks. That is valuable to a culture because in America there are things called Air Jordans. A person must be handsome to be an Epic hero. Second, he gets in many wars or fights against different people and things but always wins which shows his superhuman strength and how exciting he is. Lastly, a hero must be intelligent. He was intelligent when the Hydra swallowed him but he had a sword in his hand and he was smart enough to cut the Hydras throat and come out of his throat. Hercules in the movie “Hercules” compared to Odysseus in the epic “The Odyssey” as being an epic hero in many ways. The first way is they were both intelligent. Also both Odysseus and Hercules were handsome to the girls in both the epic and the movie. In the epic, all the goddesses loved Odysseus and said he was very attractive. In the movie, Meg loved talking to Hercules and also thought Hercules was attractive. The last trait they both had in common was they were both had superhuman strength.
