Hudson Taylor In the book of Matthew it states, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (ESV Matt. 28:19-20). Hudson Taylor dedicated his life to the Lord in his teenage years and felt a great call to the nation of China. While in China, he spread the name of the Lord to many who had never been reached and helped to change the hearts of many also. His life and works leave a leading legacy in today’s world. Taylor was a man who sought after God’s own heart; from the beginning of his early life he was being led by God and transformed into a great disciple for Christ. He went back into China with the remaining passion for his work and was ready to fight for what he believed in. Through all of the excitement, Taylor once again, faced hardships. His daughter passed away, and his family was almost killed two years later. Also, his first and second wives passed away from varying issues. Through all of these circumstances, God's work prevailed. Missionaries within China were increasing, and Chinese believers were beginning to multiply. The Chinese people who were in China stood for their Christian beliefs and who they were in Christ Jesus (J. Hudson Taylor). In the year of 1901, Hudson stepped down from the China Inland Mission and later died in 1905.
