ELA 7/8 Mrs. Mitchell 9/16/24 Two Dreams The book of Daniel is a very interesting book. It shows a lot about trusting God in everything and remembering he always has a plan. Dreams can be sad, happy, scary, and even confusing. King Nebuchadnezzar had some confusing dreams that he did not know how to deal with. Daniel was captured and taken to Babylon from Jerusalem at the age of 17. He later became the king's new advisor. The king had dreams that none of his wise men could figure out. The king decided he was going to kill all of his wise men because they were useless to him, but then Daniel changed the king's mind. God closed the mouth of the lions and protected Daniel. Daniel was very faithful and loved God very much, he proved God will always be here for us and we can go to him whenever. Nebuchanezzar had two very important dreams, they both have many similarities and differences. There are many similarities between King Nebuchadnezzar's dreams. For example, they both predict the future. His dreams tell him what will happen to his kingdom in the future and what will happen to himself in the future. Daniel interpreted both dreams when no one else could. None of the wise men could tell King Nebuchadnezzar what his dreams meant, only Daniel could. They both affected King Nebuchadnezzar and his kingdom greatly. Both dreams troubled King Nebachanezzar. They both show what will happen if we decide not to follow God. They both show us that God is always in control and even if we want to do our own thing, God's plan will always be before our own. There are many differences between King Nebuchadnezzar's dreams.
