Shakespeare's play “Macbeth” was a great read. The story takes place in Scotland, with the main character being Macbeth. Today we will be looking at his wife, Lady Macbeth. Throughout the story, we can see that she is a dynamic character. Lady Macbeth changed her emotions drastically throughout the play from fierce, to anxious, and then fearful. Lady Macbeth started off as a bold, courageous, and fierce independent woman. In Acts 1 line 61 and 62 it states, “But screw your courage to the sticking place, And we'll not fail.” This was when they were gonna kill Duncan. She planned the whole thing and she believed in herself. This shows that she was fierce and not scared of it. In Act 1 as well, Lady Macbeth was very courageous and bold. She would insult her husband and she never cared what others thought. This shows us that no matter what has happened, towards the beginning, she was not gonna let people walk over her because she was a woman. Act 2 scene 2 lines 1-8 say “That which hath made them drunk hath made me bold; What hath quenched them hath given me fire. Hark, peace. It was the owl that shrieked, the fatal bellman.it death and nature do contend about them whether they live or die.” She was explaining how Macbeth was killing Duncan and she was anxious waiting for his arrival. Once he arrived she started asking many questions which shows how anxious she was. When people were at their house and Macbeth saw the ghost of Banquo, she had gotten nervous and scared thinking people would find out that they killed Banquo. This shows us that she was anxious in a nervous way.. She didn't want people to find out and was scared that they would so she panicked and came up with an excuse, luckily with her boldness she was able to come up with a good
