Napoleon Bonaparte was a military hero, who seized power of the government in France, but he controlled it as a dictator. Napoleon was told to defend the delegates against the royalist rebels. After attacking, the rebels fled, which caused Napoleon to be a hero because he was the savior of the French Republic. After, multiple victories against Austria and the Kingdom of Sardinia, Napoleon’s popularity as military hero rose in France. This gave Napoleon the power to make it possible to take action to seize control of the government in France.
