Phineas acts similar to an adolescent because of a tamping iron piercing through his skull hitting a part of his brain. But is Phineas really that similar to an adolescent or is there anything different? In the text, it says how Phineas has the body of a grown man and their passion but the brain of a small child or adolescent, they also include how his brain is permanently stuck in the way forever. Phineas is yet different from the adolescent as well because he went through their process but was put back into the way they think and the act of some sort. Phineas is yet similar mentally to an adolescent but even mentally he has a difference including his physical brain structure. Phineas' behavior is similar to an adolescent. This is because in the text adolescents are said to have impulses, they take risks, use gross profanity, are disrespectful, and have little self-control. Phineas act's immaturely, rudely, impulsively, and disrespectfully, and with no self-control after his brain injury. The actions of an adolescent but something different from both of their brains. Phineas' brain is completed but stuck in one time when he was younger, but an adolescent is still growing, and their brain isn't yet not done. For example, in the text, Phineas has the passion of a man but he still acts like a "small child" or/and an adolescent, but he has a huge hole in his brain, something which an adolescent does not act off but he in fact does act of this injury.
