As soon as I started reading the novel “Animal Farm” by George Orwell I knew Snowball was gonna be my favorite character. Snowball had everything, he was brave,encouraging, and admirable. Then one day everything changed every time something went horribly wrong Snowball was blamed for it, like the time the windmill was destroyed for the very first time it clearly states in the passage the blaming “do you know who is responsible for this? Do you know the enemy who has come in the night and overthrown our windmill? SNOWBALL” (Orwell 51). Snowball had great ideas and was just an amazing leader overall, everything was going amazing, but then it all went down hill. Things get worse when Snowball was accused of being a secret agent “Snowball was in league with Jones from the very start! He was Jones’ secret agent, all the time” (57). Just when you think Snowball couldn’t get blamed for anything else he gets accused of being a traitor. Everyone in the farm hates him, but as soon as Squealer tells them that accusation they all go insane and want Snowball’s death. Napoleon gets what he wanted all along, Snowball was one of the most hated animals, while he is being praised as their magnificent leader. After that day Snowball ran away everything changed and could never go back to the way it was because Napoleon was in everyone’s mind, he could say anything and they will believe him that’s why they all hated Snowball so much. Snowball doesn’t mind any of it, at the end of the day he keeps returning to the farm and wondering around. Snowball is admirable because no matter how much hate he is receiving he will still come back. This reason clarifies why Snowball is my favorite character, he will never care about anything.
