Have you ever read a book and then watched a movie based on the book? If you have you will have noticed at least one thing that the movie did differently than the book. Whether it 's how the characters act, differences in a certain scene, or a completely different plot, there will always be something different between the two. The book “To Kill a Mockingbird” was written and published in 1960, two years later a movie based on the book came out. After reading the book and watching the movie there are many elements that have changed from the book to the movie. In the movie Jem and Scout witness Mr.Nathan Radley filling up the tree with cement when In the book they hadn’t, Aunt Alexandra is not included in the movie, In the book version of To Kill a Mockingbird, Jem and Scout find random objects in a tree by the Radley house. Another difference between the movie and the book is that in the book Aunt Alexandra is a very important character that influences several occurring events, and even Jem and Scout. However, in the movie Aunt Alexandra isn 't even mentioned and certainly not seen. The makes the movie very different from the book because any sense that involved Aunt Alexandra or her influence were absent. For example throughout the book Aunt Alexandra tries to make scout more feminine and acts as a feminine influence. This, as time goes by, starts to change scout a little bit into more of what Aunt Alexandra would call “a lady”. Also in the book, Aunt Alexandra invites her friends to the house to talk and eat. Eventually Scout comes to these get-togethers. This eventually leads to Mrs.Merriweather being introduced and Scout being signed up for the Pageant. After this scene the attack by Mr.Ewell and Boo saving Jem and Scout happens, so in the book without Aunt Alexandra many of the important scenes wouldn 't have happened. However in the movie they have some of these scenes even without having Aunt alexandra. For
