In David Freedman’s article, “How Junk Food Can End Obesity” he aims to demonstrate how media and influencers who consume “healthy” food have decreased good nutrition, rather than bringing it up. After looking into a similar recipe online, he saw menus from the restaurants online stating that they only use healthy and natural sweeteners but in reality, their statement was proven to be false. Using his personal experiences, he expresses that false food advertisements such as the ones mentioned before are made for people to believe that what they are consuming is healthier and cheaper than others but in most cases, they are less healthy and more expensive than other food items. To Freedman, this is not right and he continues to share his experiences and ways to avoid false advertising.
