My Mother once told me, " Never just do something and be done even if you mastered it." Some people believe that if you mastered something you can not grow farther than what you mastered, but I strongly believe that you can because if Michael Jordan would of never mastered basketball nobody would know what basketball is today or he would of never grown up to be the person he is now. First and foremost, trying can make anything possible. For example , my friend Walter tried out for the junior varsity basketball team he didn't qualify for the team, but that still didn't stop him from trying out for the summer ledge team during the summer he practiced with one of the coaches because he knew he was going to master his lay up's, …show more content…
Walter knew if he practiced and tried a little harder that could do anything he put his mind to. When the summer ledge try outs came Walter was qualified to be on the team his coaches was so happy for him because they can see that Walter skills progressively improved. Secondly, you will never know what you can do if you do not purse other things in life. For example , my friend said that he can beat me in a tennis game , and I told him no because I played tennis and I thought I was gone win , but he said you never know until you play me. When the game ended my friend ended up winning the game but that didn't stop me from practicing. I remembered all of the tricks my friend used on me and I practiced it till I mastered it. From that experience it made me realized even if you mastered something to keep striving to become better. On the other hand , some people may argue that trying something beyond what you mastered will help you grow they point to the fact not trying something beyond what you have mastered can result in not growing obviously, this argument is wrong because if you try you can become more efficient at what your goal is , and grow as an individual. Without a doubt , mastering and going beyond something can and will help you grow. Think of all the people who went to college and already mastered high school. I urge everyone to go and master any subject or
