Poverty leads to starvation. Starvation leads to suffering. Alabama currently has a poverty level of 19.2 percent, and if taxes are cut on employee’s paychecks, than this will go down to less than 5 percent. Currently, the tax employees have to pay on their paychecks is about thirty percent. If this rate is lowered, the employees will be able to keep more money for themselves. As a result, the poverty level, and the average wealth, will change drastically. Also, taxes will go down for businesses, as long as they sign a contract that says they will use the saved money to pay employees more. Now employees will have more money and have to give less of it up. After that, when things are more stable, the tax will slowly return to slightly less than normal as the economy recovers. The poverty line in Alabama is 24,300 dollars for a family of four. That means, that in some areas of Alabama, the average person is in poverty. That means that there are also many below that average, making this an even bigger problem. This is a problem because these families are miserable, starving, and desperate. Helping these people is the only option. The solution to the problem is to lower tax rates employees have to pay on their paychecks. Currently, the rate is approximately 30%. If the rate is lowered to 25%, the employees will keep more money. The government will still have enough to account for necessities. Also, any business willing to sign a contract stating that they will use saved money to pay employees more will receive tax cuts, tariff cuts, and transport cuts, all by 5%. With this, the employees will get more money, and keep more of it. With this sudden increase in income, the poverty level will change
