In my defense, I believe that George Milton should be punished just like he punished Lennie. Is killing ever justified? No, killing is killing no matter what situation you are in it is still justified as killing. In the novella, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, Lennie brings trouble to the farm and George takes care of it the best way he thinks he can but now he is left friendless, the dream is ruined, and he has he has the same crime on his hands that Lennie did…

To addition of of what George did the big dream about living on the fatta of the land was ruined “ Now Candy spoke of his greatest fear you an me gonna can get that little place cant we George cant we” “Candy dropped his head he knew” “George didn't answer” “Then its all off? Candy said sulkily”. George didn't answer. George is paying a big price for what he has done and and now hes got the same price on his hands that lennie did they may had done it a different way but still both of them there crimes are still justified as killing…
So what was purpose of killing Lennie now that he has just murdered his best friend, lost his big dream and committed the same crime as Linnie has done. George should be punished because yes Lennie may have killed Curley's Wife but George shouldn't have took into his own hands if anything he should have turned him in rather than killing him, so if george thought Lennie has to be punished for what hes done and then turns around and does the same thing George should be punishes to to negatives do not make a positive!!!
So yes I do believe that George should have consequences for what he has done what he has done should be justified George has literally lost everything he had going for him or just had he lied committed a crime lost his
