Xavier Dupont de Ligonnes was the most known man in France because of the brutal murder of his wife and four children in France in April 2011. Despite Xavier still being looked for it is still unknown until this day whether he could still be alive or dead. If he was ever found Xavier Dupont de Ligonnes should be prosecuted for the murder of his family because there is strong evidence and there are signs of premeditation. Xavier's premeditations show here because he needed to make it seem like the whole family was aware of what was going to happen and told everybody the reason why they would go missing but it was just a way to cover up for them being gone for a long time without a question. We were also informed that he inherited a rifle and that he would practice a lot with it and soon enough he bought a silencer why would he need a silencer? He bought a silencer so nobody would hear him shoot his family and it's not a coincidence that his family also died from a gunshot wound as well as getting drugged while they were asleep. “In the weeks leading up to the Dupont de Ligonnès murders, Xavier also purchased cement, chalk lime, bullets, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, a spade, and a trolley, according to the BBC”(Lamoureux 10).
