Did you know that soccer originated over 300 years ago?Soccer(Also known as football in other countries)has been around for many years and the play style was different.One different rule was that when the time reached 90 minutes the game would stop and be over but now if it hits 90 minutes it goes into extra time and if no team scores in that time they go into a shootout.Also,the soccer we know today was made in a England town that changed soccer forever in the 1850s.Soccer began to gain popularity because of this change from England until it became the most popular sport in the world.There are many things that soccer did to change sports.

The ball was filled with air which made the ball much easier to hit so it was easier to shoot,pass,and just play the game in general.The rules made the game more popular than ever.When the time reached 90 minutes the game would not end,instead it would go into extra time and if no team scores then it would go into penalty kick shootouts.This made people all over the world want to play the new game.Hundreds of leagues were made,people playing competitively in their own country.The Premier league is one of the most popular leagues,placed in england and having 20 teams compete for the premier league cup.But england wasn't even close to how many countries who have many players,fighting for their chance to play the game that they love in places such as Brazil,Spain,France,and Italy.Players such as Ronaldo and Messi were one of the best players ever,making soccer worth to watch because of their talent.Soccer rules were very different than you know today.For instance,In the early days it was not possible to distinguish the two teams by the shirts and it would take a long time until numbers on the jerseys,or shirts were invented.
