The Invention of the windmill has affected the world in a way that can never be changed. The idea of using wind power to automate manual labor was an idea presented by Babylonian Emperor Hammurabi mainly for the purpose of irrigation. This idea would eventually spark enough to influence areas across the world. This (eventually) led to simplifying grain grinding, water pumping, and Electrical wind farms.
