The Invention of the windmill has affected the world in a way that can never be changed. The idea of using wind power to automate manual labor was an idea presented by Babylonian Emperor Hammurabi mainly for the purpose of irrigation. This idea would eventually spark enough to influence areas across the world. This (eventually) led to simplifying grain grinding, water pumping, and Electrical wind farms. Despite the babylonians having the idea first around 1600 B.C. the earliest known use of windmills were in Persia/Iran 500-900 A.D. for the purpose of grain grinding and water pumping. This initial use of windmills caused many nations to adapt or improve upon it. The dutch were some of the first to use the vertical axis on windmills, the cause
