Since our newest President has been inaugurated, health care is something that is and has been widely debated in our country. Every day, there are hundreds of people who go into hospitals and emergency rooms for treatment and are turned away for lack of health care. The simple truth is, everyone deserves the right to free and favorable health care. One of the many reasons that free health care is the best option for this country is because it saves lives. Every single year, thousands die due to unavailable health care.
When we retire, most of us will lose what has become a comforting fact of life: a steady paycheck deposited directly into our bank accounts, whether every week, every two weeks, or every month. However, we will still need to pay most of the same bills we've always paid, not to mention going shopping for food, clothing, and entertainment. How can we replace that paycheck? If we are fortunate, we may have a pension through our employer, via a defined benefit retirement plan.

A heavily debated topic in politics in America is on the distribution of Healthcare and health insurance. The main concern is the costs that come along with healthcare and who exactly it is or should be accessible to. Currently in the United States, our nation’s healthcare is under a plan called the Affordable Care Act, implemented by Barack Obama to which many nickname “Obamacare”. The ACA’s original goal was to cater to people of all classes and make it affordable, hence the name, but that plan has not proven to be very effective. However in recent times there has been a debate among presidential candidates of what action to take regarding healthcare including ideas such as a “single payer” system, or a universal healthcare plan as well as a flat tax.
The Health Care Affordable Act is a health care reform policy that guarantees all citizens the right to health care. According to the American Nurses Association website, “the American Nurses Association has been advocating for health care reforms that would guarantee access to high-quality health care for all. With the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), millions of people have greater protection against losing or being denied health insurance coverage, and better access to primary and preventive services. ANA recognizes the debate of health care is not over, and remains committed to educating the nursing public about how the changing system impacts our lives and our profession” (American Nurses Association, 2016, P.1). The Health Affordable Act has had a major impact on my practice, in relations to, providing holistic care to the community that seeks health care.
In 2005, "45 million American lacked health insurance." Which is because most insurance is provided through a person 's job, or hospital. One third of America 's young adults are uninsured. Many people can buy private insurance, but many also cannot because of already existing medical concerns and many costs. Universal Systems would work well because it guarentees that everyone gains health care, regardless of past, given them yearly checkups and pretentative care, meaning they wouldn 't have to wait until it 's "too late" in order to get medical care.
Universal health care should be seen as a human right. Everyone has the right to receive medical care and be treated equally regarding of social and financial
Maybe others will disagree but in my opinion I do as well think that universal health care will be too expensive to just support everyone. If everyone receives cheap health care, then how will the hospitals or clinics receive any revenue to buy more supplies to support all the other patients in the world. It won 't be expensive to buy but to support all alone. And when the clinics do not have the appropriate supplies the quality of the health care drops. Why?
It 's scary, and thoughtless how companies and/or businesses will actually commit this unworthy act. we the patients should be able to trust in these members of society, and not to feel cheated especially when patient 's look at their statements and have to question the problem they see. maybe that 's why healthcare is always changing policies, and premiums going up. the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA) estimates that the financial losses are due to health care fraud in the high billions of dollars each year. patients fall to health care fraud tremendously in this day in age.
“In 2012, 95,000 American men, women and children were on the waiting list for new kidneys, the most commonly transplanted organ” (Becker and Elías 222). A great deal of individuals were put on the waiting list due to the lack of kidney supply which have resulted from the lack of Kidney donors. Nonetheless, Kidneys are in high demand right now, because they are the bodies’ biggest assets that sustain life. In fact, many individuals are living with deteriorating Kidneys and are constantly wishing for a compatible and healthy match. However, due to the lack of Kidney donors and a everlasting waiting list, individuals are compelled to wait for years for their turns to acquire kidneys best compatible for them.
One of the issues health care has cost. The government maybe paying the bills but the government gets the money it needs to keep things in public working well is through taxes. An argument that can be made is that people who work to pay for their health insurance would also be paying for someone else's. Also, Universal health care would cause wait time to see a specialist.
