Dear revered individuals, I am writing this letter to express my keen interest in the Peer Advisor position within the Informatics program at the University of Washington. I am currently a freshman at UW majoring in Informatics, hoping to pursue a minor in entrepreneurship. I am currently enrolled in 17 credits and will finish 52 credits this school year, not including my transfer credit, and I am committed to maintaining good academic standing. I possess strong communication and interpersonal skills that I have developed through my many years at Boy Scouts of America. I have worked with diverse populations as I was in multiple honor societies in high school where we had to teach underclassmen. My experience working in diverse environments has allowed me to work well with others. Additionally, I have a genuine interest in working with and helping fellow students navigate their academic journey because I can always understand the need to have an upperclassman to watch your back. I have been using DARS and MyPlan for many months while navigating my academic journey which has helped me accelerate my journey and I wish to share this knowledge to give effective advice. Furthermore, as a freshman direct admit I understand what the iSchool wishes to see in their students.
