Thank you for your time today in reviewing the Third Party Risk Management QA and Systems Officer position currently offered by Society Generale. I wanted to repeat my strong interest in the position, as I believe it is an excellent match with my skills and experiences. I believe a candidate for this position must bring several disciplines to successfully perform the role needed.
First, the candidate must have a good foundation in Operational Risk Management (ORM). As a senior risk management professional, I bring an understanding of COSO and Basel frameworks. At Prudential, I had the opportunity to partner with policy groups in ORM, Internal Audit, Compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley to enhance processes as Prudential was regulated by the Federal Reserve as a Systemically Important Financial Institution (SIFI). Additionally, I have partnered with our Vendor Management / Third Party Risk Management group to provide leadership in establishing new processes and systems to support similar updates. As part of my role at Prudential, I have managed ORM’s application portfolio. My role included documenting business needs, assisting development staff in understanding requirements, reviewing interim deliverables and demos to ensure they met stakeholder’s needs in terms of function and usability. I also reviewed testing strategy and plan results with the quality assurance staff. Lastly, I advised business stakeholders when determining business implementation plans, relating to pilots, training and user communication.
