As illustrated when she states that through ‘twenty years’ experience of counselling, [she has] spearheaded case-evaluations, [and] psychological profiles.’ Furthermore, Peterson has used personal experience as evidence to showcase how she is dedicated to helping people, and thoroughly enjoys it. Particularly exhibiting the use of ethos by showcasing that she has a compassionate, and helpful personality, and firm stance in the views of how counselling others should be. The outline, and word choice of the cover letter, and resume additionally shows the audience that the author is confident, and polite in her role as counsellor. Nevertheless, it has the added benefit of contributing to the argumentative areas of ethos by further enhancing the trust, authority, and likeability of any future employers.
