I woke up to the sound of the wake-up call at the Alpine Boy/Cub scout camp and pulled on my clothes. I rushed to the main campfire area and dashed into the cabin to look at the agenda. Here it is. Agenda 8:00 Breakfast of Pop Tarts and hot chocolate 9:00 Wood collecting 11:00 Wood sorting 12:00 Scout skills w/ Boy scouts 1:00 Lunch of ramen noodles and hot chocolate 2:00 5 mile hike 4:00 Free time 5:00 Dinner of hot dogs, hamburgers and hot chocolate 6:00 Campfire 7:00 Manhunt(optional) 9:00 Lights out
Well, it looks like a fun day (except for the hot chocolate at every meal and the wood collecting and sorting, it’s boring). I walked out and grabbed a Pop Tart to eat on my way out. I walked out of the cabins and got a seat at a bench made out of wooden logs near the campfire. I stared at the smoldered wood and charcoal and imagined what would happen tonight. I saw the fire blazing and everyone laughing and telling jokes and marshmallows. The thought of marshmallows made me hungry. I finished my Pop Tart and went back inside to get hot chocolate.

Yes! S’mores! I thought as the Webelos 2 den leader came over and gave the all the marshmallows to the troop leader, who handed them out one by one as we pulled out our sticks. We started to roast the marshmallows and my first one turned out to be perfect. I got up and went to grab chocolate and some graham crackers. When the troop leader gave them to me, I went back to my seat and started making my s’more. When I finished, I pulled off my s’more and started gobbling the whole thing down into my throat.
