Pregnancy by month – month 7.
Congratulations on entering in the final third trimester of your pregnancy. At seven months pregnant you are in the twenty seventh (27) to thirty (30) weeks pregnant, and probably about twelve (12) weeks until your labor. Your baby is preparing to meet the outside world and it’s going trough the rapid psychical and mental changes.
Most women enjoy connecting with their growing babies, but it’s also very characteristic to feel discomfort during this trimester due to your drastically changing body. After all, you are creating a new life inside of you. Symptoms of discomfort may vary from every pregnancy, and you may experience different changes to your body.
Changes in mother’s body:
• Mood swings – don’t worry if your mood swings are back again, or appeared for the first time during your pregnancy, it’s a completely normal to feel them as a result of a high concentration of hormones in your body which are preparing you for the labor.
• Shortness of breath – you probably feel out of breath and tired easily. As your growing uterus pushes your diaphragm upwards and putting pressure on to your lungs it may feel hard to breath sometimes. Your body is retaining water during pregnancy which can accumulate in your feet and hands. Don’t be scared if your shoes don’t fit anymore, and your feet have grown. After the labor it will all get back as it was, and you will be able to wear your old shoes again. It’s normal to have a certain amount of swelling, but if you notice swelling in your face or puffiness around your eyes, more than a slight swelling of your hands, or excessive or sudden swelling of your feet and ankles, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
