To The Scholarship committee,

My first goal in writing this letter is to thank you for your time in reviewing my application. My second goal is to convince you that I really do deserve this scholarship. I have to convince you that I have used my high-school career wisely. I have to convince you that my goals are attainable and worth funding. I have to convince you that I am making my best effort to not waste this scholarship.

My high school career has been jam packed with college preparation. The easiest to see are all of my college credit classes that I have taken. One of those groups is GEAR UP! I appreciate this organization, despite the fact that they have a hard time helping me pay to go to school out of state. They are still a great group of people who are truly dedicated to helping students from monetarily lacking families go to college. They have helped me apply for scholarships and pick a college. They have offered me many workshops and events to help me prepare for college as well as learn how to pay for it. I am a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWEE) they will help me find scholarships, internships, and jobs. ACCC (All City Children's Choir), 4-H, and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) have helped me explore and build my skills, talents, and passions. On average every month, I dedicate at least 30 hours a month to volunteering 4-H and FIRST. I teach workshops and coach teams. Plus I dedicate at least eight hours a month to dance classes. My participation has helped me learn important things like work ethic, co-opoperation, gracious professionalism, the power of teamwork, and the importance of loving what you do.
