The Korean War was a war between North and South Korea from 1950 - 1953. According to Gale Encyclopedia of World History, “When World War II ended, Korea was one of several nations artificially divided and occupied by members of the victorious Allied coalition.” North Korea invaded South Korea so they could take over all of Korea because they wanted to bring the whole county back to one. Not only did they go about this the wrong way, in the end of the war, the divisions remained the same as they were in the beginning of the war.
The conflict at the end of World War II between Russia, Japan, Korea and the United States lead to the Korean War. The Korean War did not officially end after the cease fire. The United States are still having conflicts with North Korea today. The only kind of peace or talk the United States can do with North Korea is at the DMZ

There were 5 battles in the city of Seoul throughout the Korean War. The very first battle of the war took place in Seoul and during this battle, North Korea took over the capital city. At this point in the war, where North Korea was invading South Korea, the United States came and helped South Korea push North Korea back to the very northern point of Korea. But the Soviet Union and Chinese forces, who were under the rule of Chiang Kai-shek, pushed the United States and South Korea back to the 38th parallel. Later during the war, Canada was saying they didn’t want to be a part of it but according to Carl Mills, “In spite of this, Canada provided a significant number of RCAF flight nurses, fighter pilots, and others, along with contributions from the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), various regiments of the army, and civilians to aid in the air war.”
The last battle of the Korean War was at Pork Chop Hill. Because both sides were equally matched, the war ended but only with a cease
