Rome had a big impact because of medicine and science. They made many types of medicine. One to help a bad cough. One to ease pain. We have many medicines to help with headaches, scrapes, cuts, and many other pains.
The Golden Age of Rome was a very prosperous one. There are many interesting factors which contributed to their wealth and success. Sometimes, we marvel at the advanced and modern amenities and system with which their society was run. The Romans had useful technology to help them in their daily lives, and an effective standardization system.
The people would suffer more and more want, and yet the amount of territory and goods controlled and imported by Rome from its provinces was vast and varied, from fine cloth to precious metals, wild animals to cereals. As well, Rome developed a sophisticated coinage system to further facilitate buying and selling, though most of that wealth, too, remained in the hands of the same elite, who built and took advantage of the extensive Roman roads, sea routes, and the military to keep their own profit flowing. Ultimately, Rome's economy was a complex beast with little thought of sustainability. Rather, territories were conquered by the huge Roman army, and profit from taxes and new access to goods soon resulted, giving the corrupt and greedy the confidence that resources would be unlimited. The Romans were responsible for meeting the common good of the people of Rome, and I’ll grade them according to the five indicators of meeting the common good. I believe that the Roman Republic performed a good job when providing public services, and meeting the common good. The first reason why I believe the Roman Republic met the common good is, there were public baths that patricians and plebeians could all use. Baths were free, or very reasonably priced.

The simplest reasons as to what contributed to the Romans development of a good society was that they had a list of permanent laws that were created to bring order and stability. These laws were comprised into The Twelve Tablets. These tablets were a written form of the laws that applied to every citizen within Rome, whether that be wealthy or poor. The tablets were placed in the town center of Rome for all to view, these could not be destroyed and were a solid basis for all Romans. The Ancient Romans The Roman people were the most successful ancient civilization. They were so successful because they conquered other ancient civilizations such as, Egypt, Greece, Britain, France, Spain, and many more. They also created the language Latin, which is like the umbrella for the Romance Languages such as, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian.

This document summarizes how the Romans viewed technology like roads with practical uses, but they cared more about the beautiful architecture of it and how it enhanced the character of Rome. A Roman general, governor, and water commissioner reports the use of their aqueducts and marvels in the water production compared to other civilizations. The Romans are rarely interested in the improvement of technology unless it benefits and brings pleasure to the entire society, or mainly the upper class.
The sewer system, running water system, and indoor plumbing system reduced the chance of diseases from affecting the population.
