The bill H.R.1212 or more commonly known as the Internet Freedom Act was made to disregard the rule that was adopted by the Federal Communications Commission on February 26, 2015 (FCC) about reclassification of broadband internet access. The FCC wanted internet access to serve as a telecommunications service, but H.R.1212 will prohibit that rule and any other rule relating to broadband service. If ISPs decide not to remain neutral they could ultimately decide what a person could access. For an example if someone wanted to access Facebook you could be charged money to do something like that. Another example using Facebook, if you wanted to go to Facebook your ISP could simply block that from you. The ISP could even gain access to your account as well. That’s biggest outrage to supports of the internet freedom act about net neutrality; internet could be used as a “neutral” area or it could go into very dangerous or very safe.
