Tom is a character in Mark Twain’s “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” He is always changing his plans to go with what is more convenient or fun for him at the moment. Tom is selfish and irresponsible because he only thinks about himself and what would make his life more enjoyable, while not putting others emotions into interest. Throughout the book Tom displays characteristics of a selfish and greedy person. In the beginning of the book Tom wishes to start his own gang which would include the killing other people and robbing their possessions.
