Huckleberry Finn Friendship Analysis

“Good friends help you find important things when you have lost them, your smile, your hope and your courage”.(Doe zantamata). This quote really shows some of the things a friend really should do. In the book Adventures of Huckleberry Finn the main character Huck Finn Ends up becoming friends with a runaway slave named Jim. The book revolves around huck and Jim going up and down the mississippi river, going through different adventures and obstacles. Over the course of the book he really starts to show some characteristics no one has really shown a slave in that time period. I thought this book really was key one part, What does it mean to be a good person.
One of the ways the book had defined how Huck was a good friend was how he would put himself in danger for other people, most notably Jim. Here is one point were Huck protected Jim when Huck was going in to paddle in he was stopped by two guys on a raft. “well, there's five N run off to-night up yonder, above the head of the bend. Is your man white or black? I didn't answer prompt. I tried to, but the words wouldn’t come. I tried for a second or two… so I just give up trying, and up and says: he’s white”(p.95). Something that happened from my own life was on the subject always being a friend no matter the sitution you or your friend is in. My mom has been friends with these two sisters since she was in grade school. The one sister the past few years has been dealing with a terrible case of MS. She has gone in and out of hospitals dealing with problem after problem. Seeing how mom has been so kind and helping out with her in having her stay at our house, and visiting her when ever she can.
