Introduction As a complementary step with my academic career at Notre Dame University, I decided to seek an internship which would give me access on real life situations in the field of business. I chose to do that at Human Intelligence Technology located in Jdeideh, Lebanon (currently relocated to Rabweh, Lebanon). Although I’m a management student, I chose the marketing department since there was more to learn in that specific department ranging from competitive analysis to salesmanship and pricing strategies. The duties I was accessed to include the following: • Collecting information about competitors such as prices, products and other attributes. • Competitor assessment on the social web and mainly Facebook. • Assisting in administrative activities on a daily basis. HIT was established in 2009 and it had been providing several technology services since then those services include Home automation, surveillance and security systems, electrical wiring for hi-tech purposes and others. The purpose of the company was to provide households with innovative services which would ensure a relaxing living experience in a safe and secure atmosphere. Originally, the main product which differentiated HIT was the Wireless Home Automation system since the company was the only provider in the Middle East. However, in further stages the company introduced surveillance cameras to the product line and currently have a whole department for safety and security products. In 2012, the company decided to spread its target market and began contracting with construction companies and installing several system in newly built buildings such as Home Automation , Intrusion alarms, Fire alarms, CCTV , Access Control and Led Lighting
