. Human Resource Information Systems are essential to military personnel management. These systems are used to maintain, gear, and deploy mission ready personnel. Tracking Soldiers in personnel systems is vital to human resource necessities. Accountability reports, awards and decorations, military pay, promotions and reductions, and assignments are some of the functions utilized throughout human resources systems today. Although, there are many military components each vary in system usage.

2. The Army National Guard is a sub-component that deals with State wide missions. Systems used by the Army National Guard includes, but are not limited to eMILPO, SIBX, DPRO, RCAS, SIDPERS, FMS, and RMS/GIMS. We use many of these systems to complete day-to-day functions and pull accountability reports. Meanwhile, Human Resource NCOES, Brigades and Battalion S-1 Adjutants operate these multiple systems regularly throughout the duty day. For the Georgia Army National Guard, SIDPERS is the database of records. All personnel actions are updated in SIDPERS which included, awards, grade changes, additional skill identifiers, address changes, and dependent updates to name a few. DPRO (Direct Personnel Readiness Overview) is a system that can track NCOER reports, flagging actions, vacancy slots, education requirements, etc. SIBX is a similar system like DPRO, but tracks real-time metrics, where DPRO is always weeks or days behind. The National Guards primary functions in eMILPO is to update SGLI’s and DD93’s.
