The Hunger Games is a movie series that is based on the book “Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. It exploits the concern of a nation that is spearheaded by a dictatorial government and the struggle through radical organizations and movements to bring justice to the people. In this context, I’ll be will discussing the issues in regards to government control over the United States as depicted in the movie. Government control in the movie, The Hunger Games, creates several themes that mirror the reality of most government institutions of today around the world (Collins, 2010)
I chose to use the violation of human rights in america by the government for my topic. Under this topic, we will focus on several subtopics or themes that are directly associated with government control over the nations, for example, high taxation, poverty, denial of freedom of expression, forced labor, and violation of human rights. However, our main subtopic will primarily narrow down to the issues of Violation of human rights in America by the government.

The discourse community for the topic, Human Rights violations, are the citizens who have been subjected or affected by the violation of their right; Citizens who feel the need for change more so in those nations where the government systems abuse power and deny citizens their fundamental rights (Kanmony, 2010). It is of high relevance for individuals to be sensitized and educated about their human rights. This will ensure that the citizens are knowledgeable in regards to what they should expect of fair and just treatment from the government
