In this assignment I will design and execute my own evaluation for Veteran Affairs homeless program. In this program the VA believes that no veteran should be without a home. This program is through Hunter Holmes McGuire and is run by social workers. During my research I spoke with a Social Worker that works in this program, her name is Ms. Terry. When speaking with her about this program she said that she tries to have a schedule, but that schedule can be interrupted by veterans coming in with a crisis or other critical issue that may arise. Ms. Terry has office here at the VA hospital and also goes

You've shown that when the program is present the outcome occurs and when it's not present, the outcome doesn't occur. That points to the causal effectiveness of the program.
When determining the study sample for my research I will look through notes. I will talk to the veterans that are a part of the program. I will talk to other human services professionals and social workers. Look at the veteran homeless program. Then understand that the best study sample would be to conduct population-based research studies, health services research, practice research, and evaluation and assessment of practice models and program implementation. With that being said that seems to be a mixed method.
Ethical considerations with regard to the participants are vital. Ethical is define as of or relating to moral principles or the branch of knowledge dealing with these social issues. I would be very considerate of the veterans. I would keep their information confident. If I had to talk to someone outside the VA I would be protective of their information. In my research design the validity of the program is good. The veteran homeless program helps the veteran get a place to call home. If we can’t help them right away we find a temporary plan and then find other sources to find permanent resources.
The data from the evaluation from this evaluation would be use in the following ways: It would be used to better the program. It would be used to better serve the veterans. It would be used to see what the veterans like about the programs. It would be use to see what the veterans don’t like about the program. In all just to better the veteran the veterans service here at the VA.
