Good evening and welcome to all of you: parents, siblings, friends, and other relatives of the players on this fantastic team. Today we are gathered here to celebrate the great season that our team had, but I am standing up here now to celebrate and thank our wonderful coach that led us on the path to success this season. I’m Chris McKenna, number 23 on this team, and although I will never be the Michael Jordan of baseball, I still felt like an important aspect of this team thanks to our coach. I think that my teammates can agree with me when I say that without him, we would not have had the same success this year. Our coach led us on the path to success this season through ruthless training, unmatched enthusiasm, and regard and consideration for all players on this team. Coach’s ruthless and merciless training was one of the main reasons for our success this year. Every single practice, whether we liked it or not, had us leaving with a feeling of complete exhaustion. Coach’s extreme ideas of what practices should be helped us out during the games more than a few times. I do not think that anyone will forget that fantastic diving catch Mikey had in the semi-finals. For someone like me, this really means a lot knowing that the coach cares about your success. Yes, he recognized who our best and worst players were, but he never made you feel bad about it. He cheered me on when I did something well, and encouraged me when I would make a mistake. In the past, the worst seasons for me have been the seasons when my coach treated me differently for not being a great player, but our coach did not. This consideration for all players showed that not only is he a great coach, but that he is also a great
