A brutal crash between a white 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and a city truck on Foster Road, San Angelo, Texas, caused severe injuries for two people, according to a statement released by the San Angelo Police Department. Subtle shifts in narration are present but often hard to detect in this work . The first section of “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” is written exclusively in objective point of view with omniscient narration . Whereas other parts are written in first person, told from Payton Farquhar’s point of view, resembling that of an interior monologue. These shifts in narration are key in furthering evidence the disassociation Farquhar has with his situation.

In this paper, I am going to use Utilitarianism to analyze the collapse of the I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis. The I-35W Bridge was the main route that commuters used to cross the Mississippi River (Fleddermann 113). When the bridge collapsed, “thirteen people were killed and 145 people were injured” (Fleddermann 113).
