D2-Bi-weekly Discussion on Geographic Community (Hyde-Park Neighborhood)

After going through my reading and note, I decided to use my neighborhood, Hyde-Park as my case study. Hyde Park is located in Boston's southernmost neighborhood, Hyde Park as the name is called offers an intangible of city life as well as the open space more commonly associated with the suburbs. Not only that the historic Neponset River runs through this neighborhood that was annexed to the City of Boston in 1912. Therefore, based on that, I will say that every individual starts his journey of community in a geographical neighborhood and this geographical neighborhood defines the association he belongs as an individual just like Peter Marcuse in his journal article mention the word, Cluster and congregation in his article. Not only that, another ethnicity, race and culture migrate to Hyde Park. Hyde-Park is a less free neighborhood of Ghettos like Dorchester and Mattapan city, as Peter Marcuse in his Journal defined the word ‘’Ghetto’’ as (An area of spatial concentration used by forces within the dominant society to separate and limit a particular group or defined as racial or ethnic or foreign held to be, and treated as, inferior by dominant society). And so, Geographical Neighborhood gives room to groups, societies and Communities to develop some kind of behavior pattern their kids should follow as they grow, such as acting based on gender or sex orientation. Also like I mentioned before about race, race, race is another aspect that identifies one’s origin of birth, such as let’s say someone from the USA, Canada, Nigeria, Mexico is known
