1. A total of five men were injured in an I-540 wreck, this Friday, February 26th, near Lumley Road, Raleigh. The NC Department of Transportation reported that five men were injured when a small truck collided with a van on Interstate 540 as multiple emergency crews rushed to the scene on Friday morning. According to the Raleigh police, the accident took place at around 7:30 a.m. when an Isuzu box truck going west on I-540 merged into an adjoining lane, which hit a Chevy Express van, causing both cars to lose control. This resulted in the van flipping and crossing the center guard wire into the eastbound lanes of I-540, while the box truck flipped and came to rest against the guard wire. A small plane with a total of 11 people aboard crashed this Friday, February 26th, in the mountains of western Nepal, which is the country 's second deadly plane accident this week, according to officials. A government official by the name of Padamlal Lamichane reported that at least one person had died according to initial reports. Lamichane said that the plane belonging to Kasthamandap Airlines appeared to have technical difficulties and attempted to land on a farmer 's field near the top of a mountain. However, it unfortunately crashed near Tilkha village, which is about 400 kilometers or 250 miles northwest of the capital, as claimed by Kathmandu. The plane, which held nine passengers as well as two crew members, was en route from Nepalgunj town to the mountain village of Jumla. According to the report, the weather was clear along the route, leaving the malfunction of the helicopter up to the defective mechanisms inside of the helicopter. Also, it was stated that police and army rescuers were on their way to the remote site and a helicopter was called in from Kathmandu for further assistance.
