Most modern biblical scholars believe that there are clearly two versions of the creation story in the chapters of Genesis 1 through 3 in the Old Testament. These versions appear to come from three different groups of authors called the Jahwist Source, the Priestly Source and the Redactor Source. The first version, from Genesis 1:1-31 to 2:1-3 by the Priestly Source, followed by the second version, from Genesis 2:4-25 by the Jahwist Source and Redactor Source. I was raised as a Christian all my life. In religion, you just have to trust God and his words. The bible was a message from God written by his apostles. You cannot explain all the miracles that happened because they came from above, but you need reason to understand God’s word. Our conscious is the voice of God.
In John 14:25 Jesus tells his disciples of the Holy Spirit and that he is a part of God in them. God gives us the Holy Spirit to help tell us the truth of God and the world. Without the Holy Spirit we would not be able to have the truth of life on our sides. In this I believe that Genesis 1-11 is historically accurate because of the genealogy, places, how the New Testament points to the Old Testament and how God can reveal to us. Genealogy is something that is really important in a historical sense.

When talking about the bible it is not important to reach the conclusion on the conversation it is important to start the conversation. Interpretation of the bible needs to be an open mind. Some people are going to think differently of the bible than you; but you have to keep an open mind because there is no right or wrong answer. You also have to forget what everyone else is telling you about the bible to be able to have your view and interpret what you think of it with the opinion of other people. The bible does not only have one view and as Brueggemann states, “The Bible requires human interpretation which is inescapably subjective.”

Though some religious scientist may not believe in the Bible literally this doesn’t imply they can’t view it symbolically or metaphorically, which I think is a more common perspective of many nondenominational or spiritualists. It was something that was told to me everyday from a very young age. I personally do not believe much in what the bible actually says in regards to its many miraculous aspects to be true but, I do have an open mind and I think like with all stories there must be some truth embedded into them. This I believe is true because there has been some archeological evidence found that supports me on this.

There is a big argument among the world discussing the issue of evolution verses creation. The evolutionists believe that everything has evolved from similar ancestors, and over time they changed into the different species we have today. Creationists believe that everything that is on the earth was put here by a higher being that put all of the complexity and variation of the animals that are here today. I believe that everything that on the earth today was created by an intelligent being because evolution is just a theory, evolution is no longer happening, and it is unscientific based on the scientific method.
The simple answer is this-evolution doesn 't exist (Adamson 3). Although, the question of where we came from still remains. The only logical answer is the existence of a creator. If a creator exists then that means the biblical story of the creation in genesis is true. In genesis 1:1 it says “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
