I Love Lucy

I Love Lucy is an older TV show from the 1950’s that is still popular to this day. Before the show, Lucy herself had many things going for her, and those things lead up to her getting the sitcom and becoming one of the most famous actresses of all time. I Love Lucy is about a wacky housewife and her ludicrous adventures with her best friends. Lucy faced many troubles in and out of the show, ranging from her new director making her sob on his first day, to getting pregnant.
To start with Lucille Ball was in a mixed race marriage with Desi Arnaz, a cuban band leader. Lucy was already famous before the show aired. She was a highly thought of comedian, not an actress(The 1950’s). She was spending her days on a very lovely radio show called My Favorite Husband. It was a hit. The show I Love Lucy was actually based on this show and was how the show came to be. CBS approached Lucy about a weekly sitcom. She said she would agree, but only if Desi Arnaz got to be her husband in the sitcom. The producers were shocked, they said that no one would believe that Lucy and Desi were actually married! But Lucy insisted and said “What do you mean no one would believe it? We ARE married!”(The 1950’s) In the beginning there were no big hopes for the show, but it truly did blossom later on(The 1950’s).
