In today’s advanced society everything seems to be changing day by day. The way we think of education has changed. Today, if a student graduates from high school and doesn’t want to go to college we all think that the person will end up working at a fast food restaurant which is very true. Working at a fast food restaurant will only get them a minimum wage, but going to college and receiving a degree will get them more job opportunities and financial stability. During these last few years the way we think of education has changed tremendously. Today, a piece of paper which qualifies you have a degree will get you more than just standing at a restaurant and saying “Will you have cookies, chips, or drinks with that?”.

“The PEORL goes on to state that every dollar spent on a college education produces $34.85 in increased lifetime income--not a bad return on an investment.” If a student doesn’t have the money to pay for an college education they have many other alternative choices to pay for college. They can apply for scholarships, financial aid, and the fafsa. A college education does cost money, but the money earned later will be worth the effort.
