I developed a strong desire to help those in need, having spent more than half of my childhood in a small country in Eastern Europe known as Romania. I first handedly experienced the aftermath of national communism before immigrating to the United States. At the start of the 21st century, nearly ten years after the revolution, the country was still struggling with its transition from a communist rule to a democratic government. The Romanian Healthcare System, both the medical and pharmaceutical, continued to affect how difficult it was to find medicine. The value of pursuing what you love and working hard for it, is of great importance at home, which further encouraged me to attain a strong fundamental education in Pharmaceutical Sciences. I am currently in the process of finalizing my Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Science at Campbell University, which I believe could not be a more perfect educational background for the pharmacy program. I am eager to study pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and what characteristics of drugs make some more effective than others.
