Most people who watch Ice Hockey live in North America, Europe, and North Western Asia. The greatest experience for a hockey fan is cheering for their respected countries. Every country who has an Ice hockey team has die hard ice hockey fans who live for Ice hockey. The countries with the most ice hockey supporters are Canada, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, and the United States of America. Ice hockey can unite countries, and bring people together.

In Africa, there are only a few countries who play Ice hockey, there are actually 8 countries who participate in Ice Hockey. Canada is the best represented country that plays ice hockey, Ice hockey is well known, and a common canadian past time.the most commonly known canadian players to play or have played are Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby, Carey Price, Jonathan Toews, and Steven Stamkos. Canada has the highest amount of players playing in the NHL at this time with 399. The United states are the second most decorated ice hockey country in the North American continent. Well recognised americans to play ice hockey are Phil Kessel, Joe Pavelski, Patrick Kane, Dustin Brown, Ryan Miller, and Jonathan Quick. Australia has over 4,000 registered players, and 19 Rinks. There is also an Australian Ice Hockey League. China has a total of 58 ice rinks, and a total of 610 registered players. Chinese taipei has 4 rinks, and 814 registered players. Hong Kong has 5 rinks, and over 1,000 registered players. India has just under 1000 registered players, and participated in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia in 2009,2011,2012, and 2013. Japan has over 200 rinks, and over 19,000 registered players. Japan has one professional hockey league known as Japan Ice Hockey League. The most notable ice hockey player from japan is Takeshi Saito, who plays for the Oji Eagles of the Asia League Hockey.
