The similarities between the short story (1820), and the film (1999) is that Ichabod Crane is always scared of the supernatural. The reason he shows fear to his belief is by thinking of a random “headless horsemen” when he goes through the forest where this “headless horsemen” lives or comes out. Also in both the short story and the film Ichabod Crane likes Katrina Van Tassel, just for her money. The similarities I could think of Katrina Van Tassel are that she trusts and wants to help Ichabod Crane. The example is that she helps him find the “headless horsemen” through the dark forest, even though the forest is scary. She is also shown as a wealthy person considering that he father was rich.
