In one of the paragraphs the author tried talking about how Ichabod hangs out with the ladies – chilling, telling ghost stories, doing their housework. I don’t think that was normal in 1820’s men and women did their work themselves. People didn’t interfere much with each others activities. Todays world we are different. We are open now. The fact is that in this story Ichabod is a pretty feminine guy. These descriptions just add to the anti hero feel in the story. He is considered as an anti-hero, having made fun of his physical character. He is sinful, ugly and not manly. He is the uncool kind of anti-hero. Katrina Van Tassel is considered as pretty and rich women in the town. She is the object for both protagonist and antagonist.
