This system is generally known as the Incident Command System. This system as well as the participants designated on it usually draft there authority to perform their actions from executive order, legislation or the jurisdictions official incident response system. The purpose of the incident command system is to allow for a coordinated response among various agencies and departments as well as create a process for planning and managing resources, and most importantly integrate an organizational structure for personnel, facilities and resources. There can be many roles listed on an Incident Command System the leader of it is generally known as the Incident Commander (IC). The Incident Commander’s leadership responsibilities generally include establishing priorities for everyone on scene geared towards the safety of responders, emergency workers and bystanders, stabilizing the incident and ensuring safety, as well as creating incident objectives and a plan to achieve such objectives, approving the implementation of an incident action plan as well as monitoring the incident as operations
