Identify two advertisements that make bold & noticeable use of a specific color. What common message do you think the two are trying to convey by using this color?
What emotion does it evoke?
Would their message or brand be interpreted differently if they used a different color?

Facebook is an example of an advertisement whose primary color is blue. Psychologically speaking, blue colors generally indicates that this popular brand, Facebook, stands for “dependable, trustworthiness, secure, and responsible”. These characteristics are proven true through other brands whose primary color is blue as well such as Chase bank, Wal-Mart, Police, and AT&T for example. It informs society through newspapers, magazines, and books. Electronic media, also referred to as television and radio, both publicly broadcasts news through TV, radio, and computers. Digital media is the newest form of communication via the internet, social media, mobile phone, video, and electronic billboards. All medians inform us on day-today events whether the news is local or worldwide but they each have their differences along with their individual advantages and disadvantages. Print media allows you to present static messages to your audience, meaning that is you attract the attention of readers, you can lay out effective copy that informs this audience about your brand and or persuade them to buy. Magazine primarily allows for the opportunity to thoroughly explain your products benefits. For example, fitness magazine readers may thoroughly review and analyze an ad for fitness equipment. The possibility of your ad featuring in a combination of both copy and visuals are true as well providing readers the additional possibility of multiple exposure to your ad. Electronic on the other hand has a leg up with reach. Advertisers have the greatest chance to reach a mass audience through TV, especially during prime-time television shows on a given night. Benefits of radio is the lower costs than TV placement and is often sold in packages of a certain number of spots in rotation. Digital media allows for more accessible advertisements to the target audience at any place and time. By using digital this allows companies to advertise internationally across geographic boundaries. New technologies such as social media allow for brands to increase communication to its consumers
