Inner and Outer Self The author of, “Identities” W.D. Valgardson, shows how emotions and thoughts can be hidden by your outer appearance and how it can change the way people perceive one as. Whereas, in the poem “To you who would wage war against me” shows how one can change internally by others perception. But in both pieces of writing, the authors touch base on the exploration of inner and outer selves. The two pieces of writing have a way of displaying ideas of our inner and outer selves to a point where the concept intertwine.
