Identity
Identity in today's society is often taken for granted. Identity can be simply defined as characteristics which distinguish who a person is. From our earliest days as children, we begin developing our individual identity that separates us from others. Identities can be made up of numerous different things such as personal choices, decisions and views; your history and past; and your relationships with others. Identity is very import because when identity does not exist, everything and everyone must be the same and the society lacks creativity and diversity. We have the ability to be anything we wish to be, however in the novel 1984 by George Orwell, identity is hardly fought against by the Party.
