Illegal Whale Hunting Some species of whales are endangered but not all of them are endangered. You see some species of whales live in climates that people would normally avoid like the arctic. Still though some species of whale can be hunted but the ones that are endangered are off limits. Sometimes people try to slip some hunting some endangered so they can make money of the black market. Some people find it hard to believe that some people would hunt whales that are endangered or at least following the laws about the hunting of whales. Some people try their hardest to stop the illegal whale hunting but sometimes it is hard for them to stop since whales usually live in the ocean depths. This happen when some Japanese whale hunters hunted in the Australian Whale Sanctuary. During the court trial it was found out that the Japanese whale hunters were given permission to hunt for the whales and research them. Later found that they injure and kill most of these whales. The australians even have claims in the arctic sea that is recognized by four different countries even though the Japanese do not recognize it. I would say that the hunting of whales that have a safe number to hunt and not affect them to badly is alright. But there is still laws and our actions that we need to think about when we do these things. Even though we are making progress in helping the whales to regrow their population. They are still endangered by us if we are not careful on how we do our business and work. These animals are one of the most important living things that affect us and the ecosystem.
