From the beginning of the United States history and existence-one conspiracy has remained intact for nearly two hundred fifty years. The Illuminati is a secret society that means “brethren of the free spirit” or “enlightened ones”, and they believe that they, the members of the Illuminati, can do anything as long as their souls are above sin (Howard, 1). In modern civilization, there are thousands of secret societies that endeavor to change the world. There are two main types of secret societies. The first is a society where the existence of the society is denied, and the meetings and proceedings are kept secret, too. The Freemasons are a fraternity like group designed to teach morality and ethics, and train good men to make themselves of service to themselves, their families, and their communities (McKeown, 1). The nature of Freemasonry is not to be a religion of any shape, size, or form, in fact it teaches its members to be very active and loyal to the faith in which they choose to be a part of. The Rosicrucians are a christian organization, that is, perhaps, more secretive than even the Illuminati, even their founding date is not confirmed (Rosicrucian Student). A secret society is an organization that believes in secrecy, obviously, and because of that their ideas are kept secret. Keeping secrets is not an easily done thing in todays world. To make sure the secrets of their the society stay secret, the Illuminati only has a tight band of 12 senior members that know everything about the society. Even if the other members are loyal and devoted it is easier to keep a secret if less people know about it, there are extensive background checks yearly to make sure that no one is trying to
