The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines nature as the physical world and everything in it that is not man-made. It is a magnificent place that is often unappreciated and abused by many individuals. The typical person would use words like boring or simple to describe nature and its activities; however, nature is a very elaborate system consisting of intricate ‘natural’ mechanisms. Not many people consider being meticulous describing its aspects. They may simply describe the scenery as full of leafy plants while someone more in harmony would not only take notice of its appearance, but they would go more in depth with the description. One often takes nature for granted by not taking all that it offers into account, the quintessential person does not usually attempt to scrutinize its appeal to the senses and how the scenery changes with the seasons. Many things comprised in nature during the various seasons appeal to the observer both visually and aurally. During the summer, one can see the vivid colors of the fully blossomed flowers. The juicy ripe fruit protrudes from the branches of the fruit trees. The trees, whose branches have begun to form a border along the outskirts of the traffic-heavy highway, resemble money, for they are a deep dark-green color. One can hear the sounds of certain critters. For example, the throaty ribbits of frogs, the high-pitched chirping of crickets, the harmonious tweeting of birds, and the annoying continuous buzzing of insects. Certain foods are associated with certain seasons. Examples include a connection watermelon and summer and a connection between hot chocolate or hot cider and winter. Another example includes the summer being a time that is often associated with fresh fruits such as berries. During the summer, the days are very torrid and in most instances, causes beads of perspiration to form on one’s head and run in rivulets down their back. The smell of fresh fruit and sunscreen seems to be mixed in the gentle summer breeze. During the winter, the days are frigid. People often wear coats insulated with fur in order to remain warm. The smell of cookies and spices linger in the air. In the spring, the weather feels like pure perfection. It is not too hot and it is not too cold. The weather is warm, and every few minutes one would is welcomed by a spontaneous gust of wind that carries a light scent of lavender. Autumn and spring are similar in feel. Autumn days are warm and the nights are cool. Smokey bonfires, maple trees, and pickling spices are common smells that fill the autumn air. The feel, tastes, and smells, which often remain unheeded, of nature during the transition of seasons may have a bewildering effect on
